ROLE: Videograher

THE ASK

Produce a short highlight reel that captures key moments of the event

THE PROCESS

As the videographer, I worked with Professor David Miller, the Director of the Media Production and Criticism program to capture the event for the Department of Communication. I made use of a standard Canon T5i to capture a mixture of shots: establishing shots, medium shots, interviews, and close-ups for details.  I was pushed to use practices, principles, and concepts from class to real-time. This included conducting interviews, setting up audio, and framing shots. I partnered closely with faculty to develop content that was on brand but also fun and summarily. Our creative direction included creating a positive impression of the event and the program.
